Day 6 (20/06/10) – Royal Beach
Well after the wonder goal that I scored last night, it was back down to earth and off out for the day to see a few developments, starting with Royal Beach. It has really come along since I was last out in Hurghada and you can really get the sense now of what the resort is going to be like… I can’t wait until it is completed. It is going to be very impressive. Pictures below of current build.
After being shown around a few more developments and meeting up with clients who had wanted to meet us after we had furnished their apartment on Hurghada Dreams, we were due to meet with the Italian developers of Mamma Mia at NICE Bar. They had invited us to watch the Italy game with them.
Before the game me and Neil went for a walk along the Marina and saw some very impressive boats, my favourite was a stunning black and white one. We stopped off at Shades bar for a drink as the heat was too much, it was nice to just rest on a bean bag for ten minutes whilst enjoying an ice cold soft drink. We grabbed lunch at Fior Fiore before meeting with Ehab and the other members of Enjoy Egypt.
The game was poor but the atmosphere in NICE Bar was electric, Italians singing, shouting and banging drums… “Life is too short not to be Italian”
Later that evening we were in meetings with the developers El Riad about certain developments of theirs, including Hurghada Village, after discussions with Neil, they have now agreed to begin ‘finishing’ the development, pool ladders, light fittings, gardens done etc… Hopefully this will be done by the time we leave Hurghada on Tuesday.
After the meeting it was time to unwind and go off to Little Buddha Bar, being a Sunday… its Ladies night. So we waited until 1am, and then went to the club for a few drinks. The night was a real laugh, I was dancing like a god (according to me anyway) and was having a good laugh with everyone around. I met up with an Egyptian girl called Maya, who spoke the most fluent English I have heard, very impressive. What’s more, she even got the sense of humour of ‘us brits’… so much so, it took me a good while to believe she was Egyptian.
The best part of the day was getting to visit Royal Beach… the development is really coming along and I am sure when complete, it will be a much sought after resort amongst tourists. Little Buddha was a good laugh and hopefully after our meeting with El Riad, Hurghada Village will come along quickly… All in all, a good day.
